Overdraft Privilege
Westminster FCU offers checking account Overdraft
Privilege. If you don't have an Overdraft Line of Credit
or if you have no available balance on your Overdraft LOC
or in your savings, your credit union will now pay transactions
trying to clear your checking account with insufficient
funds. We will pay your overdraft through our Overdraft
Privilege program for just $25 per transaction. No more
dealing with merchants and check processing companies, just
because you ran a little short before payday. Some restrictions
may apply. All members eligible must sign the ODP Optin/out Form.

Welcome Members Advantage FCU Members!
Members Advantage FCU, which consisted of public employees from the cities of Arvada and Wheat Ridge,
the Arvada Fire Protection District and the Apex Park & Recreation District, merged into Westminster FCU
effective on November 1, 2009. MAFCU members are now able to use all our live services…especially the
popular Shared Branching Network.
We want to welcome our new members!
By now, all members should have their new WFCU ATM/Debit cards, checks and VISA credit cards.
All ACH direct deposits/withdrawals should be using WFCU’s ABA# 307077545 (routing number).
Unfortunately, due to expenses and the lack of transaction volume at the MAFCU office, we will be closing that
location on June 25th at the end of the business day. Members can still use the other two WFCU office locations
and all 4000+ Shared Branching locations.

ROTH IRAs & the End of the Bush Tax Cuts
With a Roth IRA, you won’t have to worry about changes in rates and brackets, and neither will your heirs. For years, a cardinal rule of retirement investing was to put every penny you could into IRAs, 401(k)s or other tax-deferred accounts. That advice rested on an assumption that after you stopped working you’d move into a lower tax bracket. That was important because the money you take out of a tax-deferred account is subject to ordinary income tax.
But with the Bush tax cuts expiring at the end of 2010 and Income and capital gains tax rates slated to rise in 2011, that assumption about tax brackets no longer seems like a sure thing.
